Daydreaming- Robbie Lee

Lee’s debut album, Daydreaming is in his words, “a culmination of material” that his trio, later quartet, have worked on over the 6-7 years of playing together. The title track is an original inspired by the creative process of David Lynch and his habit of scheduling out time every day to daydream. When trying to explore this process and not being able to tap into the vivid daydreams once had as a child, Lee began to ask “do I still know how to daydream?” Though the obvious answer is yes, he found as many artists do, the many pressures and responsibilities of adulthood often strained his daily creative flow. This album serves as a snapshot of an artist continuing to deepen their relationship with their creative spirit and a hopeful offering to others to not be afraid to do the same.

Wildwood flower- Robbie lee

Lee’s second single is a take on one of the oldest recorded country songs, introduced by The Carter Family back in 1928 became a country standard recorded by many. The slight deviation from the Great American Songbook and Jazz material Lee is used to interpreting was inspired by Lee’s close friend the late Ben Stowers, who often played the folk tune in their apartment and introduced the song to Lee. This single serves as a dedication to their friendship. Released during Pride Month, the single is also dedicated to all the queer and trans individuals in and out of Lee’s life and for the shared affinity we have for the genre of music Lee’s partner affectionately calls “scorned woman.”

A Guaraldi Holiday- Isaiah j thompson

A tribute to the eclectic music of Vince Guaraldi – work which served as a both an introduction to jazz, and as a childhood sound track for generations of music lovers, Thompson included – the invigorating set was co-produced by Thompson with John Pizzarelli and features 12 fresh tracks, each one an exercise in nostalgic expressionism. With A Guaraldi Holiday, Isaiah, his group, and guests John Pizzarelli, trumpeter Anthony Hervey, saxophonist Alexa Tarantino and vocalists Robbie Lee and Tyreek McDole all join in for an imaginative encounter with the spirit of Vince Guaraldi.

John KOozin and the Neighborhood- john koozin

"John Koozin and the Neighborhood” is Koozin’s debut album as a bandleader, featuring some of his closest mentors and peers including Matt Wilson, Dave Glasser, Bruce Barth, Jasper Dutz and Robbie Lee. The music covers the Great American Songbook, jazz standards, Hymns, as well as songs from film and cartoons. This album is inspired by the works of his favorite artists, his upbringing in Houston,TX, as well as his own experiences teaching students in Sunnyside, Queens.

Expectations- The Agave Ensemble

The Agave Ensemble is a collective of Tucson musicians who grew up playing together. Having all gone their separate paths following high school, this recording showcases the musical reunion that happened the summer of 2018. Featuring compositions by members Miranda Agnew and Nathan Hooker, Expectations also includes compositions by Thelonious Monk and Duke Ellington.
